Company
Mirabilis Design provides systems engineering solutions for performance analysis, power estimation
and architecture exploration of electronics and real-time software. Founded in 2003, Mirabilis Design is a privately funded
technology company with offices in Sunnyvale, CA, USA and Chennai, India. Mirabilis Design has been growing at average
annual rate of 250% and has been profitable since 2005. Mirabilis Design products merge the product development space
between customer requirements, product development, marketing and customer support. Mirabilis products are used by
architects and system engineers to explore the requirements and validate the specification prior to scheduling development.
Product
VisualSim is used for performance, functional and
power exploration of network of systems, large systems, sub-systems, components (IC, SoC, FPGA and boards) and real-time software. Models are constructed in a graphical block
diagram editor using parameterized modeling blocks provided in VisualSim. User can import third-Party IP and custom development in Java/C/C++/Script, Verilog and SystemC. Multiple
levels of abstraction supported in a single model can include statistical, transaction-level (TLM 3, 2, 1) and cycle-accurate.
VisualSim is used for early product specification,
micro-architecture refinement and software optimization. VisualSim helps designers define product architectures by running
simulations with statistical traffic and real traffic/software to explore IP selection; make vs. buy decisions; power vs. performance;
and partitioning of behavior on target architectures. The simulation is run on models that are developed quickly using pre-built,
parameterized modeling libraries in a graphical environment.
Benefits
Benefits from our solution are a visual executable specification;
easier creation of optimized and differentiated products and; corporate infrastructure enabling extremely fast design trade-offs for price,
performance and power. Using VisualSim, designers can architect the right product, i.e. one which minimizes product failures and has
not been over- or under- designed.
VisualSim accelerates architecture exploration by reducing
typical model development time from months to days. The models can be defined using very preliminary or rough information, thus
providing greater degrees of freedom for exploration.
Furthermore, early partnership with customers using visual
prototypes improves feedback on design decisions, reducing time-to-market and increasing the likelihood of product success.
