Role Overview
Mirabilis Design is looking for an Inside Sales Representative who understands technology at a conceptual level—preferably electronics, semiconductors, or software design—but does not need to be an engineer.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role responsible for qualifying leads, nurturing prospects, supporting the sales cycle, coordinating demos, and managing account progress for our flagship product VisualSim.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Lead Qualification & Prospecting
- Qualify inbound leads from website, email campaigns, conferences, and webinars
- Identify new prospects using LinkedIn, online sources, and industry directories
- Understand customer roles (engineer / manager / architect) and basic design workflows at a conceptual level
🔹 Customer Communication & Follow-Up
- Reach out to prospects, understand needs, and provide initial product information
- Schedule demos and hand off technical discussions to engineering
- Send follow-up emails, reminders, and evaluation instructions
- Revisit dormant accounts and revive stalled evaluations
🔹 Sales Process Coordination
- Track each account’s progress through the evaluation and sales cycle
- Ensure engineers and application specialists follow up on customer requests
- Document customer queries, actions, next steps, and responsibilities
- Manage CRM / spreadsheets to maintain an always-current pipeline view
🔹 Account Growth & Relationship Building
- Maintain ongoing communication with active and past customers
- Send regular update emails, product news, webinars, and technical content
- Identify additional opportunities within existing customer companies
🔹 Sales Operations & Administration
- Prepare and send quotes
- Track purchase orders, licensing needs, and account status
- Coordinate invoicing and renewal follow-ups
🔹 AI Tools & Automation
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, LinkedIn automation, email assist tools, CRM AI, etc.) to:
- Generate prospecting emails
- Draft customer communications
- Track conversation history
- Build summaries and follow-up tasks
- Improve lead qualification
AI proficiency is required, not optional.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Must Have
- 3–6 years experience in inside sales for a software or technology product
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through discipline
- Ability to understand technical products at a conceptual (not engineering) level
- Experience managing leads, evaluations, demos, and customer follow-up
- Comfort working with engineers and tracking technical requests
- Proficiency with AI tools for productivity
Nice to Have
- Exposure to:
- Electronics / semiconductor / design software industries
- CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce)
- Running or supporting online webinars or outreach
- Selling to engineering teams or technical managers
Education
- Any bachelor’s degree welcome
- Business, communications, science, or technical background helpful
