Location: Worldwide
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Engineering – Modeling & Architecture
Role Overview
As an RF/Baseband Engineer at Mirabilis Design, you will contribute to building architecture models of components used in the design of radar, wireless communication, tracking, jamming, and defense systems. We are not building Matlab, Simulink, SystemVue or ADS models.
You will work closely with our modeling, simulation, and product engineering teams to:
- Translate radar/communication specifications into executable system architecture models
- Annotate the RF/baseband models for power consumption, timing, and area
- Work on advanced defense-grade architectures (radars, seekers, EW systems)
This is a hybrid technical role combining RF/Communications theory, implementation architectures, trade-offs for performance/cost/area/power, and software modeling.
Interns and recent graduates demonstrating strong fundamentals and project experience are also encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of RF/Baseband theory, including:
- Understanding of the application of RF and Baseband algorithms in a variety of defense, space and automotive applications
- Understand implementation architectures, the trade-offs in selecting the architectures
- Ability to communicate the trade-offs clearly to systems engineers
- Understand the timing, power and cost implications of hardware vs software implementations
- Experience in at least one programming language:
- C++
- Java
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in:
- Electronics & Communication
- RF/Microwave Engineering
