Hardware devices

Complete package of hardware components such as shared buses, switches, crossbars, bridges and DMA

Hardware devices are helpful in parameter based customization. The SoC is basically an integrated circuit, with all the parts of a computer on one single chip. The SoC is what defines a mobile device and it contains within it the processor cores, the graphics chips, the cellular radios, mobile RAM, image processors, audio/video decoders and so on. The consolidation of all these seemingly separate-function parts on a single chip also helps in keeping the power requirements lower. These days you get SoCs which can easily beat the desktop system configs from say five years back. And with every successive generation the SoCs are getting even more impressive. Some examples are the switch, crossbar or serial bus. Some of the hardware devices are the switch, crossbar and the FPGA’s.

VisualSim Architect provides you the facility to design a complete design which may contain analog, digital or mixed signal functions. These are provided in the blocks mentioned under library with various blocks supporting each function needed to design a product. After the simulation, once can check and analyze through parameters like the energy consumed or the bus analysis.
